Here are some steps to remove that error and update the browser properly... First of all open Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) Find "GoogleUpdate.exe" into Task Manager window, Right click on that and select "End Process" option. Close the browser and reopen that Google Chrome Browser. In new Tab open this "chrome://chrome". Here your update will start... Note: You must have to stop the process of "GoogleUpdate.exe" from Task Manager.
